In the heart of Vientiane, I found a little hidden Korean restaurant serving authentic Korean cuisine. The owner (and Chef), Mr. Sung was friendly enough to allow me to bring my own specialty booze (Pastis of course) as he does not sell this kind of (French) aperitif. The Budae-chigae was special and more than delicious! It went well as starter-kind of food to go as ‘anju’ with the liquors. I enjoyed the ‘panchan’ (Korean name for sidedishes) very much, and as a Korean native, I can tell you that those tasted as good as in Korea!
